When I came to L.A., I didn’t know anybody in the TV industry… but I got in. How
did I do it? Everybody’s story is unique. Most of those stories, however, share one common
element. You have to put yourself in the right place to get your lucky break.

Hi! My name is Ben, and in a few weeks, I’ll be graduating from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Writing has become my complete, consuming passion. I desperately want to become a television writer. With the right guidance, and mentor (s), I know that I could live my life making the most of these talents I have. The prospect of learning from writers, becoming friends with writers, and living my life trying to further my craft is one I simply must pursue, doggedly, and with every breath of life and ounce of my will. I’ve won short story contests, and have consistently pushed myself into bettering my work. But, in reality, I still am a poor white boy from the South. Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated. I can’t wait much longer for this life of mine to begin.
