Variety reports that screen tests are ongoing this week for the new James Bond. The latest front-burner names, as reported here a few days ago, are Daniel Craig and Henry Cavill, with a couple new faces thrown in the mix: ER’s Goran Visnjic and Aussie actor Sam Worthington. The lack of stars in the running (like Clive Owen) is due, Variety reports, to the producers’ unwillingness to pay gross points to their leading man. They want to snag their next 007 for a fraction of the $25 million paid to Pierce Brosnan.
Oh my. Goran. It absolutely has to be Goran Visnjic.
My vote goes with that guy from ER too… he at least would bring something new to the role and he surely has the brooding down 😉
I agree with the other comments. Sam Worthington is a decent actor, but tends to be cast as a bad guy. It’ll be hard to get that image out of the viewer’s head. I think the other two choices are way too young. I’d never believe a 19 year in the role of James Bond. Then again, no one asked me. 🙂
I vote for Goran Visnjic, too! “ER” needs to get off the boring storyline it’s got going for Luka Kovac and I’d love to see him on the big screen!
it seems to be that this site is a good blog, hope it will lasts for many more years.
