Here are some covers from the foreign editions of my MONK books.
What I don't get is why on the Polish cover they spell my name correctly, but they change "Andy Breckman" into "Andy'Ego Breckmana." Can anybody explain that one to me?
#1 New York Times Bestselling Author & TV Producer
Yes I can explain this to you Mr. Goldberg. I hope you’ll understand what I mean. If the translator (I mean the man who translated this book) had wrote simply: Andy Breckman it would be correct in USA but it’s not common and correct in Poland. He spelled your name correctly because you are the author of this book. Andy Breckman is the author of the series.
“Lee Goldberg. Powieść oparta na serialu telewizyjnym stworzonym przez Andy’ego Breckmana” It means “Lee Goldberg. Story supported on the TV Show created by Andy Breckman”
It can’t be written ” Lee Goldberg. Powieść oparta na serialu telewizyjnym stworzonym przez Andy Breckman” because it’s incorretly in our country and the cover wouldn’t be published like this. In Poland “stworzonym przez Andy’ego Breckmana” means the same like for you “created by Andy Breckman”
Thanks, Agnieszka!

Your welcome Mr. Goldberg.
I’m glad I could help.
