  1. I picked up my copy today. It is sitting on my desk right now, staring at me. I have just consumed 2 chocolate candy bars because I have summoned all my willpower to help me not pick up the book and read it. It is so hard not to because I have been really looking forward to reading it. Where did I put that 3rd candy bar? I will be accompaning my son to the dentist tomorrow to have his 4 wisdom teeth removed and I need to remain there until he is done. I am saving the book to read while I am waiting. OK, I did cheat and read the excerpt in the back from Mr. Monk Goes to Hawaii. Oh, and I did read the first chapter when it was posted on USA’s website. Tomorrow is going to be a great day! (well at least for me, not my son).

  2. Didn’t want to wait on Barnes and Noble so found a B. Dalton with three copies in a plain brown paper sack under the counter. Got halfway through before the trauma of the day overtook my eyelids and I fell into a disturbing dream where the foundation of my home crumbled into a giant sink hole following a series of electrical explosions and peculiar water spouts. Woke up with everything in tact, but putting up new wallpaper before I finish the book. Clearly, the racecar tires behind the toilet are mismatched.

  3. Have I mentioned I can’t wait to get it and read it?
You will be doing a signing at MtDF this weekend for sure, right? I’m waiting until then.
Meanwhile, I’ll have to work hard on my current book so I’m ready to actually read it.

  5. [SPOILER AHEAD]
I absolutely loved the book. I made a family trip to Barnes and Noble to buy it and it took all the will power I had to wait until I got home to read it.
The book was awesome. I laughed so many times just like I do when I watch the show. It was the perfect Monk book. I was fascinated by how all the cases were solved and throwing that one bit at the end was the icing on the cake. And telling it from Natalie’s point of view really worked, but I felt bad she couldn’t do the relationship with Joe though I totally understand. The reasons made complete since. The whole story kept me captivated.
I look forward to Mr. Monk Goes to Hawaii.

  7. I’m sorry. I didn’t think about that. I do that so many other places that I didn’t even consider doing it on here. In the future I will totally remember that.
