You can’t miss this — David Hasselhoff’s "Secret Agent Man" video. I laughed all the way through it, because I know that’s really how he sees himself. Back when I was doing BAYWATCH, he told me all about his efforts to star in a new version of PETER GUNN. He felt he was perfect for the role because he "embodied it."
(Thanks to Sara for the link)
You mean that wasn’t a Halloween gag??? LMAO!
Words fail me.
ABC made a huge mistake by not going forward with the 1989 remake with Peter Strauss as Gunn. And Pearl Bailey as “Mother”….how classic can you get? It was dead perfect, and would have been a classic for a new generation. I’m just thankful no one has tried “SON OF GUNN”…
I always thought Hasslehoff knew exactly who he was. That’s why he did that schtick on SNL and Dodgeball.
I see your Secret Agent Man video, and raise you the Hooked On a Feeling video he did for his German record label.
Check it out here:

Man, he needs a better director to helm his videos. And a better singer to do his songs.
David Hasselhoff was sooooooooo cool back in 1983. I remember watching “Knight Rider” Sunday nights before school and talking about it the next day with my friends. When we eventually got wrist-watches, we talked into them; seeing “Secret Agent Man” now makes me weep. Well, not really. But good grief, does he take himself THAT seriously?
Ah, it brings back memories of Hasslehoff in that Fox TV-Movie adaptation of “Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD.” Which in itself brings on memories of Hasslehoff donning a fake eyepatch and mugging for photos with Stan Lee at the Marvel booth at San Diego Comic-Con. Damn those memories . . . .
David Hasselhoff says to his agent “From now on I want to be known as Hoff”, his agent says “Sure, no hassle”.
😉
He’s no Tom Jones, and even Tom Jones is no James Bond. Man that video’s hilarious.
OK…that was scary. I USED to like that song. Now everytime I hear it, I’ll have horrible Hasselhoff flashbacks. Thanks.
