David Janssen looks really uncomfortable/ pissed off in every shot of this intro, which I’m sure I would be if I had to go around driving speedboats or chasing criminals across train tracks in loafers.
This is actually the theme for the *second half* of season one, when they moved the show to Los Angeles, dropped Henry Darrow and brought in Anthony Zerbe. They made the theme a bit more “action-oriented” than the melancholy version that preceded it.
