Wow, it’s rare to see an opening title sequence that tells you absolutely nothing. I don’t even have a clue when this aired except that, since it had Josh Brolin, it must have been after The Goonies. Was this a Crimetime after primetime title from the early 90s?
Hi Lee, Everyone-
Not Michael Mann’s big budget follow-up to MIAMI VICE. It was Tony Yerkovitch’s on Friday nights at nine. No network support. Josh was great, the writing was too, and there were a lot of wonderful supporting actors who came through.
Joe Jackson score was perfect opener. The music was always good including a double episode built around Chris Isaak’s album “Chris Isaak”. Orchestra for all episodes was directed/conducted by the late, great Shorty Rogers.
Warm Regards from me,
LJP

Loved that show, and loved the music for that show. Composed by Joe Jackson.
It was Michael Mann’s big-budget follow-up to MIAMI VICE on NBC. It was a big bomb. But I loved Joe Jackson’s score.

I remember those titles but not the show. I do remember Brolin was the tough guy greaser who helped out the PI.
