Porn Needs Economic Viagra

The economic crisis is touching everyone, some below-the-belt. The Atlantic reports:

Relatively small, fragmented, and unaccustomed to outside investment, the U.S. porn industry (which generated roughly $12 billion in 2007) is some what buffered from today's credit crunch, but it has its own problems. Video sales have been falling by 15 percent a year since 2005, and online content doesn't deliver the returns it used to, now that Web sites such as RedTube and PornHub basically give it away. Struggling companies need investors to help right their operations, and those that are thriving in a brutal market need funding for growth.

  1. Screw the porn industry. We as a nation should take back the bedroom and let them collapse. Why do we need to watch others have sex. We should have sex with each other. Let’s establish sex clubs and brothels. Have the government manage it and tax them. It would generate revenue and our defecit would be wiped out. The porn industry aroggently believes that just because they find the hot babes to do perverted acts, people will buy it. But people are discovering they to can have sex on camera with friends and put it online. It sure as hell beats watching a bunch of whores have sex with a bufoon like Ron Jeremy. Also, by eliminating porn, it will increase the supply of available women. As you know, porn stars are told they should stay with their own to prevent disease. In a way thats like a sex ring. As a result, men can’t have sex with these women unless they are a male porn star. So, let’s take back the bedroom and flood the market with homemade porn, and show these creeps we dont need their porn

  2. I don’t think I know anyone who has ever paid for pr0n for anything more than a birthday joke or something. I’m pretty sure they only make sales with decent profits on weird fetish crap while the standard affair is like the McDonalds Dollar menu that gets you “into the door”.
