Aquaman

I was surprised to discover that the unaired, unsold WB pilot for AQUAMAN is available for download on iTunes.  The pilot was from the folks who did SMALLVILLE and was passed over when the WB merged with UPN to become The CW. Being the unsold pilot freak that I am, I immediately downloaded it…but I haven’t watched it yet.

  1. Hey Lee,
I have been trying to track down a script, any script, for “How I Met Your Mother” and thought I had it solved with justaguyinhollywood.blogspot.com, where a pdf of the pilot is supposed to exist, but if you try for that page, it gives the dreaded 404. Any help would be appreciated, shy of the usual suspects which charge an arm and a leg and don’t even have any HIMYM scripts.
    Thanks!

  2. It’s also available as a torrent at near-broadcast quality. If you’re into such questionable behavior as downloading. Which of course I am not.
John Woo’s pilot for an unmade LOST IN SPACE series is out there, as well. A production without any spark, love or inspiration in sight.
    Not that I’ve seen it.

  3. I saw the John Woo LOST IN SPACE pilot. Mind-numbingly awful in every way. On the other hand, the unsold TIME TUNNEL remake pilot that Fox did a few years ago (and now available on the TIME TUNNEL boxed set) is pretty good.

  4. No, I’m not an Aquaman fan at all. Unlike Paul I’m only regretting 23.5 minutes of my life wasted as that’s all I could take. If I had to single out one problem with it, it’s the tone, it’s way too serious and pompous.

  5. I found the pilot VERY boring,a bit too unrealistic even for an adventure type of series. And the CGI looked too cheap even for a TV program. Orin or A.C. aka Aquaman looks like he stepped out of an international male magazine..too cheezy Can see why it wasn’t picked up.
