Bathroom Etiquette

Etiquette question: I was standing at one of two urinals in a restaurant men’s room. A woman brought in a boy to use the urinal next to me. It made me very uncomfortable. Was I wrong? Or was she wrong to come in with him? Or should she have taken the child into a stall? Or should she have taken him into the woman’s room (FYI: There was no line for women’s room).

  1. Little boys should be taken to the ladies’ room with their mother and put in a stall. They should only go to the men’s room with their fathers.

  2. Thanks for the Diagnosis Murder books Lee, read them many years ago but they were great and actually enjoyed better than tv show, always wished there was more of them. I read the Murder she wrote books too but would prefer more DMurder ones. Keep meaning to watch Monk my mum liked it.

I was watching Sliders sci fi show and your name was on one episode and took me a while to figure out where heard it before, lol. You’ve been involved in some great stuff.

I’ve often thought that urinals should be got rid of the whole concept seems outdated these days, just have cubicles.

  3. Isn’t a little boy too small to use the men’s urinal? He should definitely have been brought into the ladies room by his mother. Maybe she took him into the men’s bathroom as an excuse to check out the men.

  4. I guess I have a bit of a different point of view. I use the restroom for it’s intended purpose. If she was bold enough to enter a men’s room, wouldn’t have bothered me in the least. And no, I am not an exhibitionist.

  5. In Maple Valley, we had a deal where a restaurant had an open space between the sinks in the men’s room and the sinks in the women’s room. A big controversy erupted and the hole was finally filled in.
Anyway, back in the topic at hand. The woman should not have entered the Men’s room. She could easily have taken the young lad to the Women’s bathroom and there would be no story.

  7. She should of gone into the women’s. Nervy of her not to take into consideration how the men would feel.

BTW, we subscribed to HM&M solely to be able to watch Mystery 101. I enjoy all things mystery on it. Going to some of the mystery conventions (and panels you are on) I get a kick out of some of the situations you set up. I could go on but a question please. Why are the episodes so far apart? When will the next one be aired? Thanks, Lisa
