Honolulu Part 6

P2040027
The library talk tonight was sparsely attended but just as lively and interesting (for me, anyway) as all the other talks I’ve done during my visit to Oahu (I stayed a good 45 minutes after closing to keep answering questions). I got to meet several regular readers of this blog face-to-face, including a former Writers University student of ours, and some of the library officials who were kind enough to approve the grant that brought me to Hawaii.  I had a terrific time and I want to thank Cindy Chow once again for inviting me and being such a wonderful hostess, tour guide, dinner companion, and event manager during my stay. Tomorrow it’s back to L.A. and work, work and more work…and, oh hell, and jury duty on Tuesday. I forgot all about that.

  1. Lee,
I had the most enjoyable week schlepping you around Oahu. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Next time I might rethink introducing you to the world of Hawaiian Rush Hour(s), but at least that gave us time to chat. Possibly about too many things.
Your talks should not be missed, and even after the sixth program I found myself entertained. If anyone else is reading this, Lee gives fantastic programs and EVERYONE who attended enjoyed them. Even that crazy man I had to bodyblock to keep away from your family.
Aloha and I hope you and your beautiful family return to our islands. I’ll lei you again anytime.

  2. It was lively and interesting from my view as well. Thanks for sharing your time with us! And as the former student Lee mentioned, let me say that, even if you’ve already taken his online class, it’s well worth attending a seminar in person; Lee is quite the raconteur.
With your permission, I’d like to put out a call to any other attendees who would like to form a writer’s group here in Hawaii to email me at: ostensiblyme@hotmail.com
    Mahalo – Mark
