Variety reports that HBO and David Milch are developing a "surf noir" series created by acclaimed mystery novelist Kem Nunn, who will co-write and co- exec produce with Milch. Although Nunn is known for books like TAPPING THE SOURCE and TIJUANA STRAITS, the proposed series will not be based on any of his earlier work.
Maybe they could hire Jeff Shelby as a consultant.
I saw Nunn on the nature writing panel at the LAT festival.
