Very cool what happened to fun TV like this
OMG, Jeff G. is SO CUTE!!!!! How did I miss this one?
My memory is really fuzzy (I was about 11 when this was on) but didn’t this replace Battlestar Galactica. I’m pretty sure they were both Sunday night shows.
BTW my favorite opening sequences are THE PERSUADERS and COWBOY BEBOP.
I loved that show. Channel 11 WPIX NY used to show it!
*goes hunting*
Update: Found the pilot movie that was not included w/boxset!
I loved this show, too. I purchased it on DVD from Millcreek along with all of Stephen Cannell’s other titles. I wish Mike Post would put out a CD of main title themes he did for Cannell. He has released many of his instrumental themes, but other than The Greatest American Hero (and oddly enough, Richie Brockelman: Private Eye) none of the theme “songs” have found homes on a commercial release. It would be great to have a collection that included the Ronnie Milsap themes from “The Rousters” and “JJ Starbuck,” as well as the catchy numbers to “Broken Badges” and “Hardcastle & McCormick,” among others. Hey Lee, if you know Mike Post, how about passing along the suggestion.
Lee, did you hear? One of your favorites, It Takes A Thief, is finally coming to DVD on Oct. 11.
