HEAD CASES was cancelled by Fox after only two episodes, but it’s hardly the first series cancelled so abruptly. It joins an infamous list, compiled by TrivialTV, that includes such forgotten failures as BIG SHAMUS LITTLE SHAMUS, CHARLIE LAWRENCE, FOUR CORNERS, THE PAULA POUNDSTONE SHOW, PRINCE STREET, SLEEPWALKERS, THE MIKE O’MALLEY SHOW, and RYAN CAULFIELD: YEAR ONE.
I’m not exactly an expert on TV, but wasn’t the Paula Poundstone show cancelled because of some unrelated impropriety on her part?
Nope. As is common, I’ve compressed time in my head. The two events were years apart. Thank you, Mr. Google.
Pretty soon you can add COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF to the list. Ugh.
Last time I looked (Friday), Fox still had a billboard up for Head Cases at its Century City studio. Maybe it’s to promote the eventual DVD box set.
What was that show (a LAUGH-IN clone) I watched back in the ’60s or early ’70s that had only one episode? It was too racy for TV at the time, not to mention unfunny.
